For all you happy Windows XP users like myself, Apple has created another little glitch with the iTunes Program for us. Many people are having trouble burning playlist to CD and getting an "Unknown Error (4000)" box that pops up after you wasted a perfectly good CD, very irritating! Here is the fix. On the new version of iTunes when you insert a new CD a box will appear with burn speed, audio CD etc... Make sure that the "Include CD Text" box is not checked. If you have an older version of iTunes click Edit, click Preferences, click Advanced, click Burn, and remove the check mark from the "Include CD Text" Box. I've burned at all speeds and this solved the problem across the board! If for any reason this didn't work go to the Control Panel, click Add/Remove programs scroll down to iTunes and click on it, then click on the "Click here for Support Information" click the "Repair" button, restart your computer and repeat the steps above. Bottom line; just make sure the “Include CD Text" box is not checked! Happy Burning!
